Biography

Bastian Pastewka, born April 4, 1972, in Bochum, founded the comedy group "Comedy Crocodiles" together with Bernhard Hoecker, Oliver Bröker, and Keirut Wenzel in the beginning of the 1990s and successfully toured Germany for five years. From the mid-1990s on, Bastian Pastewka was regularly seen as a comedian on German TV. From August 1996 on, he became a cast member of the satirical "Wochenshow" on Sat.1 where he developed and played the character "Brisko Schneider", the gay host of an erotic TV show and even got his own show in 1999, called "Briskos Jahrhundert Show". However, this show could not tie in with the success of "Wochenshow". In 2002, Pastewka and Olli Dittrich successfully toured Germany with their comedy program that was followed by numerous appearances on TV. He starred in the comedic travel show "Pastewka in..." (2003 and 2005) before starting his own comedy show, "Pastewka", in 2005.

Pastewka made his first significant movie appearance in Peter Timm"s "Der Zimmerspringbrunnen" (2001) and celebrated a huge success together with Oliver Kalkofe in Tobi Baumann"s Edgar Wallace parody "Der Wixxer" (2004). In 2007, Pastewka starred in the film"s sequel "Neues vom Wixxer".
