Biography

Born in Antibes, France, in 1960, he is a screenwriter and director. He made his directorial debut in 1994 with "The Drowned", a segment of the anthology film "Necronomicon". The following year, he made a screen adaptation of the legendary Japanese manga "Crying Freeman". His international breakthrough came with "Brotherhood of the Wolf" in 2001. "Silent Hill", his screen adaptation of the eponymous survival horror video game, once again won him an international audience.
